About

I have been training dogs professionally for over 15 years and I have seen first-hand the challenges people have trying to learn how to train their dogs.  It is a well-known fact that it is much easier to train a behavior correctly the first time than it is to change a bad or undesired behavior.  Training a puppy is not difficult.  You just need to know the best way to communicate with your puppy, and a few minutes every day for short training sessions with your puppy.

Puppy Challenges arose out of my desire to make dog training simple and to share easy-to-understand training methods with people who want to raise a well-behaved puppy.

I have trained my two dogs to successfully compete at the top levels of agility: MACH3 Lady Prancer’s Velvet Kiss, ADCH “Schatze” (Miniature Schnauzer) who achieved her USDAA ADCH and AKC MACH3 titles before retiring; and Crystalove’s Independence Day, MX, MXJ, TM-B, RM, JM, MAD  “Indy” (Sheltie) who competed at the top levels in USDAA and AKC before retiring when I had knee surgery.
